Retrieving Text from DDDW

satt1= tabpage_main.tabpage_marketing.tab_mkt1.tabpage_mark_price.dw_price_table_dep.Describe("Evaluate(LookUpDisplay, 'att_gid1'),1") ;

I am using the above line in a script.  This always returns '!'

Any ideas.

dw_price_table_dep  is the datawindow that contains multiplie dddw's

att_gid1 is the column name that has the edit type DDDW
