Sybase Infomaker 12 frequent crashes involving pbdwp120.dll

User is experiencing frequent (39 last month) crashes using Infomaker12 to create reports for a Powerbuilder application.

 

Nearly all of the errors involve pbdwp120.dll

The  user states that he has encountered crashes adding a column to a dw,  moving or resizing a column, opening a report and doing a save as  (41  character bug with save as noted).

 

 

The System is a Pentium R Dual E2200 with 8 GB RAM, running Windows 7 64 bit.

Video/ Drivers   Intel Q33 Express Chipset

 

Infomaker patched with 7217 EBF back in May,  hoping that the EBF would eliminate the crashes.

Windows update current as of 7/1/13.

UAC slider set to minimum.

User is local administrator on system.

 

OS maintenance performed  cleanup of temp files.

     C:\temp

     C:\Windows\temp

     C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp\

    

Scandisk, Defrag, etc.

Checked Env Variable paths  ... \Sybase\Shared\PowerBuilder  looks ok.

 

Can find virtually no information when searching  Sybase, SAP, Google for pbdwp120.dll.

I assume it has something to do with data window (presentation / printing ).

 

Printers are:

HP Laserjet 1150  Standard TCP/IP port.

Xerox 5225 Work center Standard TCP/IP port.  (default)

Epson LQ 590 Local (disconnected)

Microsoft XPS Local

Sybase DW Printer  Local

PDF Creator Local

 

Report workspaces are kept on a Network drive segregated by customer.

We do not appear to be having any network issues with this workstation.
